History,
The Rafale Solo Display is an ambassador for the French Air Force and space, just like the Patrouille de France. It has been present at numerous airshows since its creation in 2009, with the aim of representing the Rafale’s air superiority, acting as an ambassador for the flagship of French aeronautics abroad and showing off the talent of the crews of this component of the French armed forces.
Originally, this unit was an integral part of Dassault Aviation and was later transferred to the French Air Force.
Each year the pilot develops a new series. There are two versions, a “good weather” version and a “bad weather” version that the pilot and his coach choose when the flight ceiling is too low and it is impossible to perform large vertical loops.
